As the Principal of Iramoo Primary School, I am incredibly proud of the strong sense of community that defines our school. Our students, staff, and families work in close partnership to create a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive. The wellbeing and education of our students are always at the heart of everything we do.
Since opening in 1978, Iramoo Primary School has delivered high-quality education to local families. We have a long-standing tradition of fostering excellence in literacy and numeracy, while also offering a rich curriculum that includes specialist programs in Physical Education, the Arts, Spanish, and STEM (Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Technology). Students in Years 4–6 benefit from a 1:1 iPad program, equipping them with essential skills for the future.
Our school community includes approximately 550 students, and we are proud to maintain relatively small class sizes—averaging 24 students per class—across straight year levels from Prep to Year 6. Iramoo is a vibrant and diverse community that promotes intercultural understanding, respect, and inclusive relationships. Our shared values of Respect, Responsibility, and Relationships are consistently upheld by students, staff, and families alike. Each year, our surveys reflect the high level of satisfaction and pride felt by our school community.
Iramoo is exceptionally well-resourced, featuring modern buildings, beautifully maintained grounds, and engaging outdoor spaces. Our students enjoy a range of playgrounds, outdoor learning areas and quiet zones for passive recreation—all designed to support learning and wellbeing.
At Iramoo Primary School, our core purpose is clear: to provide an environment where every child can thrive. All of our people and resources are dedicated to achieving this goal.
