Important Announcement!

esafety commissioner

The Office of the Children’s eSafety Commissioner has been established by the Australian Government this year and is lead by online safety expert Alastair MacGibbon.   Mr MacGibbon worked for 15 years as an Agent with the Australian Federal Police, including an appointment as founding Director of the Australian High Tech Crime Centre. Along with a number of private sector roles, Mr MacGibbon has been a Director of the Centre for Internet Safety at the University of Canberra since 2011.  The Office provides Australians a range of up-to-date information and resources, coupled with a comprehensive complaints system to assist children who experience serious cyberbullying.  All parents should familiarise themselves with this website and its resources to help them keep up to date with the latest cybersafety concerns and as a way to help their children manage issues that may arise.   More information about The Office of the Children’s eSafety Commissioner will be included in future Iramoo PS newsletters.
